lest get itI wanted to use the things I have learned in a more practical way so this is what I got.
the pictureI wanted to do something that was not on my face. One problem with special effects compounds is that most of the time it isn't good to put on very mobile parts of the body so its hard to do things on the body because everything is so mobile, but I wanted to do something on my hand. I wanted to focus on simplicity so i didn't want it to be a bloody mess I wanted it to be "fresh". So I wanted to do a nail through my hand as if I had set my hand down on top it. The goal for this is realism.
my motherSO my mom wanted me to do her Halloween makeup and she wanted something scary but not to scary so I suggested a neon zombie. She got very excited about this so that was the plan and that is what I did. SO basically a neon zombie is a colorful zombie that kind of has a pop art vibes so that is the point. greenI started with mixing some paints to make a light green color. I put that all over her face. I then set that with a translucent powder. I made her eyebrows pink to make them pop and then to make then stand out even more I outlined them in black eyeliner. eyesFor the eyes I on one side I smoked some black out in the crease and but a teal blue green similar to the face on the eye lid. For the other eye I i just but black all around it to resemble a hollow eye. I but a black eyeliner in the water line and tight lined her eyes. I then but on black mascara to keep everything looking dark. mouth and green cracksI started out by outlining everything in a black liner so that i had a guide to go by. For the mouth I drew in the teeth and then filled them in with white and the I set them and shaded them with a darker color for some dimension. I then filled everything out with a normal green color to make it different from the face. finishing touchesI then added dots and small detail lines in black to add something different to the face. We then sprayed her hair red so that everything was very colorful. rough patchI'm having trouble thinking of good ideas and executing them to be completely honest. I'm not very happy with anything i am creating which is discouraging but this is all a learning curve and we are powering through. New stuff coming soon. Look out peeps!
the ideaSo I wanted to do a clown...so that is what I am doing. I have wanted to do a clown for a few weeks now and I think I have a solid plan for for this week that is what I am doing. I am going to make a sad clown be happy. I feel like clowns are always happy so I thought it was an interesting idea to make a sad clown BE happy. I want to make my clown sad but i want to tie the clowns smile open to force him to be happy. That is the plan. a baseIs started off with blocking out my brows perusal and then I started with a white base because its a clown and then I set it with powder sooo yeah. Then I drew in my my black brows that looked sad and down turned. I then put some redish blush on my cheeks and then I finished the base with some rigid collodion which is a special effects product that when it dries it tightens the skin and makes it looks like scars. So I did that to make sad wrinkles around my frown lines and my ¨eyebrows" and my nose. Then I made my nose red and added white highlights to the nose. I then put blue streaks above my eyes just to act as the clowns face paint. the eyesI just put some blue around my eyes really messily so make it look like I have been crying and I also put on mascara so I wouldn't look like an alien. the mouthSO for the Mouth i just wanted it to be a big red smile but I also wanted it to be smudged so that is exactly what I did but I gave it a darker outline to make it stand out. This was my least favorite part you cant really tell it was a smiles because I made it way to big and I just over all wasn't happy with this part at all in the least. tie it togetherTo really sell the sadness I decided to make gelatin tears because I really like gelatin and i think next gore week I might try ti use it for cuts but i´m not sure yet we will see but anyways I tinted it blue and dripped it from under my eyes and put some shading around it to make it look 3D. I then took the braids i had in my hair out an teased my hair and sprayed it half Red and half blue. tadaI hated this look that´s all bye
INSPIRATIONSo this week I was planning on doing something different but then I felt like it wasn't Gorey enough so I decided last minute to do a burn and I didn't draw it out I kind of just did it so I am sorry for the lack of a layout this week it was just bceuase I kind just went with it so yeah . the basixI stated off with putting Vaseline in my hair so that the latex wouldn't stick to my baby hairs because if it does it rips your hair out and it hurts. Next i blocked out my brow so that it would lay flat and i could put latex on top without it ripping my eyebrow out. I then put tape on my face to pull my eye down to give it the effect that the burn warped my skin. That was pretty much it for the basic things i did. the burnSo to create the burn effect that i wanted i mixed liquid latex and coffee grounds because normally when the latex dries it has a yellow tint and when you mix that with the brown coffee it makes a good burnt char look. It also gives it a really good texture so that is why I chose that method. I first put down the latex where I wanted the burn to be and immediately sprinkled the coffee grounds on the wet liquid latex and then I put another layer of liquid latex on top of that and let it dry half way. When it was half way dry I took a par of tweezers and picked holes in the latex to make it look like I had holes burned into my skin. paintingOnce everything was fully dried it was time to paint. I started off with painting the inside of the holes with brown. Then i took a deep red cream paint and when on the whole burn and around the outside perimeter. Then i took some brown and did the same thing but a little but lighter because the coffee was already brown. I then I took some white and I lightly grazed it on the raised parts to give it some dimension. I then took some yellow and did the same thing. Around the eye on that side of my face I put red in my water line and brown on my inner corner took make it look sunken in. I also drew a line of red down my eyelid to give it a slouchy look. the other side of my faceSo on the other side of my face I just added some red into my waterline so match the other eye and I took that red and put it all around my eye, the outer corner of my nose, and my forehead using a cotton ball for a light wash of color. I then did the same with brown but i didn't put that around my eye. FINISHING touchesTo fish things off i added aloe to give it a shiny look and make it look raw and wet. i then added scab blood to the holes for obvious reasons. And finally i pulled back one side of my hair and painted it black to give it the appearance that it had been burned off. the endThat was it. If I were to do something different next time I would definitely try painting the burn with alcohol activated paints instead because I think that would have looked a lot more realistic and natural so that's really the only thing I would do differently. starting offBecause it is October now I wanted to get into the Halloween and autumn spirit, and how better to do that an to make myself a pumpkin. I was scrolling through Instagram and saw a video of girl who had made herself a pumpkin but half of her face was a glam look and she has the glam look dripping into the pumpkin look. I have been wanting to work with gelatin for a while now and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. So this is a recreation of a look done by Marion Cameleon da baseI started off with painting half of my face orange and a portion of my face i just put my normal foundation on it. I then covered one of my eyebrows and then covered in in orange. After that I powdered my whole face because I was using grease paints and that stuff is mad sticky so I had to powered it and I wish I would have powdered it more to be completely honest. That was pretty much it for the base of the look. the paintingSO I began with giving myself a black eye with a small detail brush and some black paint. I then drew a line from each corner of my mouth and then I frayed up the edges of the black paint and filled in the center of the mouth with black to make it look fuller. I continued on with drawing lines down the orange side of my face in a medium warm toned brown. I then took a lighter brown on a blending brush and blended out the original line. Next I took a burnt orange shadow and blend out the edges even more to give it a smokey look. I then took a mustard yellow color to highlight in between the lines. glamSO for glam I took a light brown as my transition and took the orange and dark brown mixture form my brush that I used for the lines and I blended that into my crease. I then took the mustard yellow color and blended out the edges even further. I took a neutral toned shimmer to put on my lid and finished up with some eyeliner mascara and lashes. OH and i also filled in my eyebrow with black on that side using a black eyeliner. drippppppppI really wanted to use gelatin because I never have before. I made it by using four packs of gelatin and put and equal amount of coconut oil because I couldn't find glycerin for the life of me. I finished it off with half of that amount of water and I heated it up to melt it all together and I mixed my foundation in it. I tested it on the back of my hand so i wouldn't burn my skin off and once it was cooled off a little but i dripped in onto my face using the end of a makeup brush. THIS WAS VERY HARD. I had a hard time getting the drips that I wanted on my forehead and nose but it finally worked out. I had to take it off and re-drip it frequently, but if you keep at it you will finally get it. that is allThat was it. This is my favorite makeup look so far 10/10 recommend it.
starting offSo for starters I did to know what I wanted to do this week other than I knew i wanted to do something mythical. I sat back and thought of what I thought I wanted this to look like and the word ethereal came to min so i looked up the definition of the word and look at some pictures. The definition of ethereal is "Extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for his world" All of the picture that I saw had a very blue purple color spectrum but i wanted something lighter light the sun so i went with a gold theme and decided to do a kind of sun fairy girl. a new faceSo i wanted to Try doing makeup on someone else so I decided to ask my best friend Sadie and she kindly agreed to let me turn her into this mythical fairy sun girl (i still don't know what to call this look). so we made plans to get together and she let me do this makeup i am doing today. the baseI wanted her to have a really flawless base and to be a little bit shiny so mixed my lightest foundation, a little bit of white cream paint, and some gold on a palette and then i applied that to her face. I then put some highlights on her face with a really light concealer and then I set everything with powder. Then I added some color back into her face with some bronzer around her face. Next i added blush ... I love blush. I added some gold highlight to make her look like a glowing goddess. I covered her eyebrows in concealer to make the lighter and then put light brow gel on top to give them a more ashy blonde look. I also added so freckles onto the face with a gold eyeliner and a white face paint for extra cuteness. That was the base I made. the noseI wanted to give her a pointed nose to make her not look so human and this was not the best part I should have made my scar wax into a ball and given I a little point not make a triangle and point it from there but its all good cause now I know. Once I was done with the modeling I powdered it and added some blush and highlight to the tip of the nose. the eyesFor the eye i just kept it simple and put a mixture of a Warm toned light brown, a mauve pink, and a brighter pink with the gold highlight underneath. i then brought that color under the eye so balance things out. i added some pearl beads above the eyebrows and added a golden gem under each eye. I added lashes and om eyeliner to the inner corner to blend the lashes and then i added some of the gold eyeliner the i used for the freckles as a bottom mascara. the lipsI mixed some white coral and gold and applied that to the lips tapping out the lip line for a softer look. i then added a pink gloss with gold sparkles in it to tie everything together. the finishing touchesFor the last steps I added and really cheap blonde curly wig from Walmart that was not the best but it worked well enough so its all good. I then made some ears out of wire by just twisting them in random ways and then made a loop in the back to attach them to her ears. For the head piece i measure her head and then made a divot in the middle of the wire in the middle of her forehead. I took the wire and stabbed it through the wig to make it stay. I then took a strand of beads I got and twisted it around the wire and then draped it down her head and brought it back up to pin in in her hair. In conclusion...it was fine guess. the nose I did not like and i also did not mess with that wig but what can you do. Well that is all for this look. I hope you enjoyed my explanation and don't forget to watch the whole process of this look on my YouTube channel (link in the menu button). See y'all next week. byeeeeee.
